Tell u something funny.............i live in punggol for 5 years with my wife......we have no internet/ starhub and telephone connection at all.......so we survive solely on our handphone........call me stingy if u want...............but i am someone who feels if the thing is not worth it........i wont even pay a cent for it.....but vice versa.....but if the thing is worth it..........i would die to have it....
But its also a blessing in disguise........when my new punggol flat owner call me telling me that the telephone line not working..........i told him i have never use a telephone line during my stay at punggol............
So whats my saturday dream?..........this saturday i have an appointment with starhub to install sports channels/ korean channels/ world news/ and movies on my TV............and also install internet on my house..........so from no internet/ cable channels to having one.......isnt it a dream?
so to make my saturday dream comes true........starhub has an appointment with me today..........i wait until 3pm...........the starhub technician comes at last........but to my horror, they open up my telecom riser and told me some of the their splitters and connectors are missing.......see pictures below for illustration.......

that means i will not be having my internet or cable television so soon........the starhub technicians give me 2 options.......option 1, pay them to fix it.........option 2, wait for HDB to repair the damages...............they told me many households have faced such problems before.....i told them i will not pay them to do it and will seek for HDB advice...........
Why i make such a decision? Firstly.......... they make me feel suspicious cos they have a key to my riser.........how can someone has key to my house riser?........are they authorise to do so?.......so now the things are missing, who is to blame? Even if HDB fix back the splitters and connectors, someone is still holding to my house riser keys.......will it be lost again?
Secondly, i have installed internet/ cable TV before at my parents place before......the behaviour of the technician who serve us the last time is different from the two who came this afternoon to my place............they never ask me where i want to put my cable TV but insisting to see all my TV points at my house.........i got abit suspicious.........i told them i never do any modifications as my house is newly bought..........then instead of fixing the cable TV set on my hall (from my past experience), they open up my riser..........some more not with my keys but with their keys.....oh my god..they got my house riser keys.........they seems too confident something is wrong with the riser............i cant help but feel suspicious.......so i tell them i will follow up the matter with the HDB instead..........
I will check with HDB on monday............i really want to know how come other people got my riser key and are they the authorised people to do so?
